Prioritising the health of all - KTP scheme award

We are thrilled to announce that Think Through Nutrition (TTN) has been awarded a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) scheme. Over the next three years, TTN will partner with Oxford Brookes University (OBU) to develop and implement a digital nutrition programme for marginalised and vulnerable groups.

The Cost-of-Living Crisis impacts more than just wallets; many people are struggling to put together nutritious meals for their families due to cost and lack of necessary tools. In recent decades, poorer diets have coincided with a steady rise in mental and behavioural issues. It's clear that innovative, sustainable solutions are needed to address this crisis.

This KTP initiative will create a scientifically and academically robust digital education programme tailored to the unique needs of various marginalised and vulnerable groups, including those supported by health and social care sectors and those struggling with food insecurity. Notably, the programme will be initially piloted in the prison sector, and upon successful evaluation of its efficacy, a comprehensive roll-out plan will be developed for future deployment to other sectors.

Tahani Saridar, CEO of Think Through Nutrition, said:

We are thrilled to have been awarded a Knowledge Transfer Partnership. Nutrition is crucial, not only for our physical health but for our mental health as well, and everyone should have access to nutritious food and recipes to improve their lives. Over the next three years, we look forward to leveraging the expertise of Oxford Brookes University as we develop and implement a digital nutrition programme for marginalised and vulnerable groups."
